What you need to know before you enroll

The Diploma in Building and Construction is a workshop intensive course intended to equip trainees with knowledge and skills in the technology and management of the building industry.

The Building and Construction course, also called Building technology course trains students in constructing, deconstructing, reconstructing, renovating, altering, demolishing and maintaining or repairing building and construction works.

Students take internal termly exams and KNEC examined modular (end of year) examinations. After completion of every module, all students seek placement for industrial attachment in relevant fields before proceeding to the next module. This attachment is supervised and graded by one of our lecturers.

Students attend weekly workshop and site visits to put in practice what is taught in the classroom set up.

Course Duration: Three (3) years

To qualify for a Diploma in Building and Construction, one must meet the entry requirement of KCSE Mean grade C- OR PASS in relevant craft course, drawing & design Design or an approved equivalent qualification as determined by KNEC.

• An attachment fee of Kshs. 5,500.00 is applicable after Year 1 & 2.
• KNEC Examination Fees (as advised) is applicable in Year 3
• A fee of Kshs. 1,500.00 is applicable to students who pay via the installment plan

After the Diploma, what next?
