NIT Plants for the Future: 1,000 Trees Take Root at Corner Baridi Forest In celebration of World Environment Day (June 5th, 2024), the Nairobi Institute of Technology (NIT) joined forces with the Family Foundation and Nation Media Group for a tree-planting initiative. Staff, students, and volunteers planted 1,000 tree seedlings at the Corner Baridi Forest restoration site. This collaborative effort contributes to a greener Nairobi and a healthier planet. NIT is committed to environmental sustainability and empowers its community to make a positive impact.

With the official launch of WorldSkills Africa at the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit in February 2024, Kenya is one of the countries working together to develop sustainable skills for Africa's youth.
