The Nairobi Institute of Technology (N.I.T) is a middle-level Technical & Vocational college based in Westlands, Westlands Road - plot number 10, Nairobi. We are registered and licensed in accordance with the TVET Act 2013 Section 20(1) under license TVETA/PRIVATE/TVC/0047/2015.We are partners with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture. N.I.T offers courses examinable by KNEC, JKUAT, NITA,CDACC and other progressive internally examined full time and part time programs.

N.I.T specializes in Building Technology & Digital Design courses. We are currently licensed to offer the following courses:

  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying (KNEC)
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering (KNEC)
  • Fashion Design Level 6 (TVET-CDACC & N.I.T)

N.I.T is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS)
We are accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) under the registration number (TVETA/PRIVATE/TVC/0047/2015) N.I.T has partnership with Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT).

N.I.T is authorized to offer courses examined by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and the Curriculum Development and Certification Council (CDACC)we are also a member of Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS)

  • N.I.T students enjoy 24 hours access to fast internet.
  • We have six networked computer labs and a fully functional & stocked library with internet access for research and e-books use. Our environment is conducive for learning in the serene westlands area. Students have an outdoor working space in the forecourt and an indoor networked space at the students centre.

  • Our Annex campus is the home of Masonry, Plumbing, Architecture, Interior Design and Fashion Design workshops. We ensure safety in the workshops by ensuring students are supervised with trained personnel and are compliant to the recommended personal protective equipment.
  • Classrooms, studios and laboratories are well lit, aerated and spaced for the students’ health and comfort. Life outside the classroom is a great experience for our students. We have academic excursions, industry site visits, expert talks from relevant fields of study, extra-curricular sports activities, expos and exhibitions and cultural festivals which coincide with the academic calendars.
