Certificate in Garment Making
The Certificate in Garment Making (Fashion Design) equips learners with practical skills in sewing machine operation, garment construction, fabric decoration, and fashion finishing techniques. Learners gain hands-on experience in making both ladies and gents’ garments, styling clothes, and decorating fabrics for fashion and textile products.

Entry requirments
- Garment Making Level 3: KCPE, KCSE (Mean Grade E) or equivalent qualification.
- Garment Making Level 4: KCSE certificate, Garment Making Level 3 qualification, or equivalent qualification recognized by relevant authorities.
Pathway:
After completing the Artisan Certificate in Garment Making (Level 3), graduates are prepared to enter the fashion and textile industry in entry-level production or tailoring roles, or progress to Level 4 Artisan Certificate in Garment Making to develop advanced practical and design skills for more complex garment construction and creative projects.

Complete the online application form with your personal details, academic background, and program of interest. Ensure all required documents (KCSE results, ID copy, certificates) are uploaded.
- Review
The admissions office will verify your documents and eligibility. If anything is missing or unclear, you’ll be contacted to provide clarification or additional paperwork.
- Decision
Once your application is reviewed, you’ll receive an official admission decision. Successful applicants will get an admission letter outlining the program, reporting dates, and next steps.
- Payment
Pay the required fees (registration, tuition, or deposit) through the approved N.I.T. payment channels. Keep your receipt as proof of payment.
