The Certificate in Painting and Decoration equips students with specialized skills in surface treatment, color theory, and decorative finishes. Students gain hands-on experience in preparing diverse surfaces, estimating material costs, and applying professional-grade paints and specialized decorative textures for modern construction and renovation projects.

Entry requirments

Painting and Decoration Level 3: KCPE, KCSE or equivalent qualification 

Pathway:

After completing the Artisan Certificate in Painting and Decoration (Level 3), graduates are prepared to enter the construction and interior finishing industry in entry-level roles. They can also progress to the Level 4 Artisan Certificate, where they develop advanced skills in complex decorative techniques, industrial coatings, and project supervision for residential and high-end commercial spaces.

Complete the online application form with your personal details, academic background, and program of interest. Ensure all required documents (KCSE results, ID copy, certificates) are uploaded.

The admissions office will verify your documents and eligibility. If anything is missing or unclear, you’ll be contacted to provide clarification or additional paperwork.

  • Decision

Once your application is reviewed, you’ll receive an official admission decision. Successful applicants will get an admission letter outlining the program, reporting dates, and next steps.

  • Payment

Pay the required fees (registration, tuition, or deposit) through the approved N.I.T. payment channels. Keep your receipt as proof of payment.
